Thank YOU!! Jun 15, 2010 I got the books and have started reading them. They are great! I know these are going to be really helpful for me. Eating out can be really tricky as you know, but these books really simplify things to a level I haven't seen in any other resource. Just wanted to say thanks again!
Great for Allergic Newbies Aug 02, 2009 We have been dealing with my son's food allergies since he was a baby (7 years) and so much of what was in the book is already "old hat" to us (whether we're at home or in a restaurant). For someone who is dealing with allergies for the first time, it is nice to have the steps so easily laid out, but for those who already know the game, it's already very familiar. I'm not sure the book offered great benefits to our family at this stage; however, it would have been useful several years ago.
Versatile guide Jun 30, 2009 "Let's Eat Out!" is a wonderful guide that offers information to a wide range of individuals, not just those with special diets. This book and its supplemental "passports" teach about a variety of ethnic cuisines that would make even the pickiest eaters venture out and expand their dietary choices.

Dining advice for gluten-averse people and their friends Mar 27, 2009 I bought this as a gift for my daughter, who is allergic to gluten and a vegetarian (now, THERE'S a tough combo).
She loves the book.

Useless to me! Jan 06, 2008 I bought this book thinking it would be of great help to me. I found it to be absolutely useless. There are so many other valuable tools to use and informative books out there that I can only say - use your common sense - you know what you can and can't have & all you have to do is ask the server to check in the kitchen to make sure that thee either isn't, or won't be, any gluten ingredients used. I live very near NYC and I can name so many gluten free restaurants that weren't included that it's ridiculous. Don't waste your money.
