A Must-Have Book Apr 15, 2009 I just recently purchased this book and so far the make-ahead baking mixes for biscuits, pie crust, pancakes and pasta taste great and are a real time saver. This book has the best pie crust recipe I have come across so far. You can actually handle and work with the dough. The biscuit mix is very good and I also use it to make pancakes. The pasta recipe is easy and tastes good. None of the baked items have that grit taste. Wonderful book!!!!

Not one of Bette's best... Nov 20, 2008 I got this book as a birthday gift after going crazy for her Comfort Food book... I don't care for her reliance on V-8 juice, and some recipes seem to be more of a hassle to cut corners than to just make the recipe from scratch! Wasn't impressed with the health factor (it's not a concern for me, but if you're looking for that, it's not here) despite a different slew of recipes.
Currently the book sits more than it's used, and I take it out for the occasional reference or starting point to make my own dish.. Buy her other books before you buy this one.

always great recipes by Bette May 09, 2008 my fav and trusted GF cook. guaranteed great results. can trust the texture and flavour of food is wonderful and so similar to 'normal' food the same. much prefer her gluten free flour mixes than packaged stuff from the supermarket.
